At Suit Up Games we're looking for several Roblox Software Engineers to join our team on both a full-time and contract basis.
Suit Up Games is a Roblox development studio focusing on building high-quality branded experiences tailored to young audiences.
The studio is a spin out of Poptropica, who have been building branded gaming experiences for young audiences since 2007. We already have a strong track record for delivering compelling, interactive branded experiences for clients like Disney, Lego, Mattel, MGA, Paramount Pictures, Netflix, and Apple TV. These repeat clients trust our expertise and experience as seasoned game developers who understand the kids gamespace.
As we are expanding our core capabilities toward the Roblox platform, our goal is to build a native Roblox development team who can deliver these experiences. We are looking for several key players to join this effort, which is supported by an existing team of experienced game developers.
Our developer roles are well-compensated, remote based work that prioritize building high engagement Roblox games in an environment that cares about its team.
You will be a Software Engineer working full-time building Roblox games on behalf of our brand partners. You will collaborate closely with game designers and artists in a small team.
Game development - You have a well-rounded experience developing games. You have an understanding of popular game mechanics and what makes for a strong UI and UX.
Programming - You can demonstrate a solid understanding of programming concepts and design patterns and their application in developing games. You are adept at troubleshooting and debugging code.
Familiarity with Lua - You are comfortable coding in Lua and have proficiency in using tables and modules.
Drive - You are passionate about building high-quality games for the Roblox community. We understand there are many studios offering branded experiences on the platform and we want to ensure we focus on creating games that we know the audience will love.
Problem solving - You are comfortable breaking down complex code and development actions into modular steps suitable for learners.
Bonus points
Roblox - Experience developing Roblox games using Roblox Studio is a plus. Passionate native Roblox players can contribute insights from their gaming experience when helping to design the best experiences suited to that audience.
Qualifications required
None. We understand that many top game developers are self-taught and may not have obtained a formal degree.
